We collect only the information we need to make and ship your order, support you, and, if you sign up, send you updates. We never sell your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you order: your name, email, phone number (if provided), shipping and billing addresses, and what you bought.
When you create an account: your login details and order history.
When you sign up for emails or texts: your email address or mobile number.
When you contact us: whatever you include in your message.
When you buy in person: your purchase details, and your name and email if you ask for an emailed receipt.

Payment information is handled by Shopify and its payment partners, including Shop Pay. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, Shopify and the tools we use collect information such as your device and browser type, IP address, general location, pages you visit, and how you found us. This is done with cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

Please don't send us animal or patient health information

We don't need details about horses, patients, clients, or anyone's medical records to fill your order or answer your questions. Please leave them out of your messages and orders.

How we use your information

To process, make, ship, and support your orders, including exchanges and returns
To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies to your questions
To send marketing emails or texts, only if you've signed up
To understand how our site is used so we can improve it
To prevent fraud and keep our site secure
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We share information only with the companies that help us run our business, and only what they need:

Production and fulfillment partners that make and ship some of our products (your name, shipping address, and order details)
Shipping carriers that deliver your packages
Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments
Email and text message providers (Shopify and Mailchimp) that send our messages
Analytics providers (Google Analytics and Meta) that help us understand site traffic

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if our business is ever sold or transferred.

We never sell your personal information or share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our site.

Necessary cookies make the site and checkout work.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) show us which pages are visited and how.
Marketing cookies (the Meta Pixel) help us understand how visitors from Facebook and Instagram use our site. Meta may use this data under its own privacy policy.

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-necessary cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. Even if you unsubscribe, we'll still send emails about your orders.

Text messages (SMS)

If you sign up for texts, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing messages from Chiro Tack at the number you provide.

Signing up is never required to buy anything.
Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email info@chirotack.com.
Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We never share or sell your mobile number or text opt-in information with third parties for their marketing.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy
Correct information that's wrong
Delete your information (we may need to keep some records, like orders, for tax and legal reasons)
Stop sending you marketing emails or texts
Not use your information for targeted advertising

To make a request, email info@chirotack.com. We'll confirm your identity, then respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

If we decline your request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Oregon Department of Justice.

How long we keep information

We keep your information as long as needed to fill your orders, provide support, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

Our store runs on Shopify, which uses industry-standard security, including encryption for payments. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children's privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to other sites, like our Instagram and Facebook pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. For significant changes, we'll let you know by email or a notice on our site.
